Chuck Ugarte: I’m Chuck Ugarte and I’m one of the associate car dealers in All Cars Manila. We’ve been OLX and Carousell users since 2002.
Diego Estrada: Hi, my name is Diego Estrada. I manage the marketing department of Speed Seven Corporation, We have been a Carousell user for over a year now but we started using the platform since Sulit and OLX days.

Chuck Ugarte: All Cars Manila kasi wasn’t always financially stable. There was a time na, syempre nung nagsisimula kami we didn’t have enough funding to buy a number of cars.
Diego Estrada: It started first as a used buy and sell dealership. And then, a few years after we started venturing into importing other brand new vehicles that aren’t available in the local market.
Engr Aries Theo Martinez: Nakita ko na marami ang tumatawag sa akin. Nakita ko na talagang maganda yung features ng online.
James Ugarte: Carousell came with ang daming packages, ang daming features na really helped us a lot. It was fast, it was efficient and it was easier for us.
Kevin Ugarte: As long as there’s internet, we can sell. Ang feature nila na pinakamaganda that actually caught my attention, yung you can post multiple pictures.
Diego Estrada: We noticed that the market was going to the online side of the gray market industry. So since we noticed that, that’s when we started partnering with yung Sulit and OLX. So we started creating an account there. First few days, mabagal pa ang benta then when Carousell came we became more aggressive and iyon majority of our online sales comes from Carousell.
And by being aggressive, I told them that we have to implement boosting. So we boosted all of our listings on the platform. Siguro I could say, estimate a 50% to 75% increase in sales.

Chuck Ugarte: Our target market got significantly bigger kasi before OLX or Carousell, majority of our sales are from Metro Manila, ganun. Ngayon we’re surprised even out of the countries nakikita nila yung post namin.
Kevin Ugarte: Yung mga OFWs.
Chuck Ugarte: And then again surprisingly, nagugulat na lang kami may mga relatives sila pumupunta sa amin to buy our cars.
Engr. Aries Theo Martinez: Maganda yung mga marketing strategy na nagagawa ng Carousell at naproprovide niya yung mga gusto ng mga customer.
James Ugarte: So kung ano iyon napagusapasan niyo ng client niyo, fulfill them.
Chuck Ugarte: Mahirap masira.
James Ugarte: Pati yung reputation na kapag slowly nakikilala kayo sa market, sa internet na okay diyan so may nagri-refer lumalaki kayo ngayon.

James Ugarte: Everytime we had problems andiyan parati ang Carousell to help us sell. Nandiyan parati si Cherry to listen to us.
Engr Aries Theo Martinez: Sa mga bago pa lang na gustong mag-online. Magandang pumasok sa Carousell kasi diyan mo makikita na kahit isa lang iyon binibenta mo basta nakita mo na confident ka sa binibenta mo si Carousell na mismo ang gagawa ng way para makita yung binibenta mo.
Diego Estrada: You have to be present everywhere, not just here, not just having a physical showroom, you should also have a strong online presence.
James Ugarte: For Carousell, sometimes nabibigla ako. We closed sales, yung client by just looking at the pictures tapos dinideposit na lang yung reservation na 10,000 through online banking, so ganun lang kabilis talaga. It’s really helping us a lot.
