How to create a Carousell business account if your mobile number or email address is already tied to an existing personal account

This process is only applicable to sign-ups in the Philippines via the sign-up link in the email program sent out by Please do not sign up via our marketplace or any other channels as we will not be able to track your application there.

Scenario 1: Create an account with a business phone number (recommended👍)

If you own a separate business phone number, you may opt to use that to register an account with us. 

We highly recommend this method as you will be able to create a functional account instantly, and would not require us to do a manual override. If this is not feasible for you, proceed to scenario 2.

Scenario 2: If you do not own a business phone number/email address, fill up an application form for us to evaluate your eligibility for a second account.

Our support team may help to override the account limitation depending on your eligibility (refer to eligibility criteria below). This process may take up to 7 working days for processing, but we will do our best to expedite each application as much as possible. 

Follow the steps below to have your business assessed. Steps must be followed in order otherwise your application will be rendered invalid.

Step 1:

Create a new business account with a username of your choice and you will be asked to verify your mobile number. Use your existing mobile number. You’ll receive this prompt to proceed with the verification. By pressing ‘verify anyway’ your new account will be verified, but the existing personal account will become mobile unverified. To have both accounts verified, you will have to re-verify your personal account by completing the verification application in step 2. 

Note: While your personal account is mobile unverified, you can still continue to transact with existing listings but you will not be able to list new ones until we re-verify it for you.

Step 2:

Fill up the form below indicating your new username as well as your personal account username for assessment. Please note that coins will only be credited once we have deemed your business account to be eligible.

General assessment criteria

We will be assessing your eligibility based on the legitimacy of your business. Carousell takes utmost care to prevent any potential fraudulent activities, hence, we will need proof to determine your credibility as a seller. In general, as long as you provide us with sufficient information to prove that you’re conducting a genuine business, your application is likely to be approved. 

Nonetheless, some elements we keep a lookout for are: a professional company name or logo, social media pages, or any other information you’d like to provide as proof.
